What to Expect:

  • Pamukkale Amphitheater: The 1800-year-old Hierapolis Amphitheater, one of the most important and original Roman theaters in the Mediterranean Basin. The amphitheater, built 150 years ago, is part of the unique 2500-year-old Pamukkale Hierapolis Ancient City, which is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as both cultural and natural heritage. After restoration, the Hierapolis Amphitheater has the most significant and unique position among the Roman Period Anatolian Theaters in the Mediterranean Basin, with its mythological reliefs, magnificent stage building, and the seating steps of the Perge Theater in Antalya. 45 minutes • Entrance Ticket Included
  • Cleopatra Pools: There are certainly more places to explore, but we believe we had one of the most extraordinary swimming experiences in the world. How many places in the world can you swim in a pool that dates back 23 centuries? (If swimming was forbidden in it during this period and the only thing wet in its waters was the wish money? This is the Ancient Pool, also known as the Cleopatra Pool, in the city of Hierapolis. In the Hierapolis Ancient City, which is under the protection of UNESCO, in the area just above the Pamukkale Travertines, which is included in the World Cultural Heritage List, we think it is a fantastic experience to experience such a valuable heritage in such a special way. By the way, we crossed this off our bucket list before we die! 1 hour • Entrance Ticket Not Included
  • Pamukkale Thermal Pools: We are touring the natural pools of Pamukkale with our guide. The minarets in the water here change color on the rock surface. Therefore, everything is as white as cotton. And the water has many benefits for the human body. 1 hour • Entrance Ticket Included
  • Hierapolis & Pamukkale: Hierapolis ancient city is well-preserved and has survived to the present day. The Roman Baths, which we can definitely say were frequently visited during their time as a thermal center, are now used as an archaeological museum. Here, you can see the statues and other remains uncovered during the ancient city excavations in Hierapolis and its surroundings. Structures such as the ancient theater, temples, monumental fountains, tombs, agora, and gymnasium are in such good condition that you feel like you are in the city from 2000 years ago. The stories about the Plutonium, believed to be the entrance to hell during the Roman period, will especially pique your interest. Hierapolis is also a holy settlement from a Christian perspective. The most important reason for this sanctity is that St. Philip, one of the 12 apostles of Jesus, was martyred here, and his tomb is located here. One of these is the Martyrium, built by palace architects in the 5th century, where the tomb of the saint is located.
