After being picked up from your hotel in the morning, head to the Mevlana Museum (a former Mevlevi center and host to the tomb of Mevlana) for a visit, explore the Alaeddin Mosque, discover the historic Meram district, and learn about the local history from your guide.

  • Konyanuma Panorama Museum The Konyanuma Museum offers a three-dimensional view of 13th-century Konya. It features models of Mevlevi lodges in Turkey and other countries. In another section, the important events in the life of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi from his childhood to his death are depicted with oil paintings and small wax sculptures. 50 minutes • Entrance Ticket Included
  • Mevlana Museum Mevlana Mausoleum and Museum Both Muslims and non-Muslims visit Konya primarily to see the mausoleum of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi, who lived in the 13th century, and the former sema hall, which is now the Mevlana Museum. It is the largest Sufi center in Turkey, and the building’s turquoise-tiled fluted dome is one of Turkey‘s most recognizable sights. 2 hours • Entrance Ticket Included
  • Tomb and Mosque of Şems-i Tebrizi Şems-i Tebrizi was the spiritual mentor, inspiration, and companion of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. The tomb of Şems-i Tebrizi is one of the most important places of visit. 15 minutes • Free Entrance Ticket
  • Alaeddin Mosque The mosque where some important mystics such as Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi and Muhiddin-i Ibn Arabi used to worship. Alaeddin Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Turkey, built between 1116-1220 by the Seljuk Sultans. Alaeddin Mosque has some interesting architectural features such as columns of different sizes and columns from earlier periods. The Seljuk Palace was built during the reign of Sultan II.   • Tomb of Sheikh Sadreddin Konevi Sadreddin Konevi, who lived in the 13th century, was a great scholar, respected and known figure for the Anatolian Seljuks. He was the stepson of Muhyiddin-i Arabi. He had a close friendship with Mevlana, and Mevlana requested that his funeral prayer be led by Sadreddin-i Konevi. 30 minutes • Free Entrance Ticket
  • Tomb and Mosque of Sheikh Tavusbaba In the Meram district of Konya, you will see a historic bridge, a mosque dating back to the Seljuk period, and next to the mosque is the tomb of Tavusbaba. The mystic (tavusbaba), who was a fan of Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi, came from India to Konya to see him. He was engaged in music, particularly playing the ney flute very well.
